i also received a robo call which was the same thing as others have noted stating a lawsuit has been filed and to call immediately. A threat at the end "wishing you a good luck as situation unfolds on you". Total scam.
My 80 year old neighbor got a call from 202-800-5601 this afternoon, and she asked me to help her and talk to the IRS guy whom accused her owing $8000 tax for years 2012 and 2013. He refused her to contact her son or CPA or mail her the tax bill but asked her to go to bank now get the money. They will instruct her over her cell phone on how to deposit the money at CVS pharmacy store. If she does not pay NOW, Police dept will send someone to arrest her. When we argued with him, he hang up and after 5 minutes, someone claimed from local police department said that they received a phone call from IRS and they will send someone to arrest her now. I called the local police dept., they said it is a scam call and do not worry about it. 202-800-5601= SCAM
Got this Robo call today on my cell phone. I did not answer nor call back. Voice said something about criminal investigation and to have my attorney contact them. No idea what this is about.
