Got a call from this number, rang twice and they hung up. No voicemail.

Rang once and hung up. This is the third call today on my cell phone -- different numbers, but rings once or twice and hangs up.

Rang 2 quick times and hung up. How can they scam me if I am not sitting on top of the phone, lol?

For hang ups, it is likely a Robo caller looking for legitimate telephone numbers, modem or fax lines. They'll use or sell that info they learn
