Received a voice message from a man with foreign accent (most likely indian) saying he was with state investigation department and there is a legal case against me. If I do not call him back immediately, the police will come arrest me from my house. It is all bogus and they try to get your debit card or credit card number. They think people in US are stupid like themselves.
I got a call from this number and it is a bogus call...
"Hey what's up Vicky anthony(?) this is officer Brandon Taylor. You're talking to office and you're supposed to get a payment done today South. It's been long time. We understand your situation really coming phone right now. dana-in(?) State of Virginia right now it's Harrison I was still chances are you how to get a payment down to-monitors-is(?) the mass-that-test-try-talking-to(?) I'll get back to us on the same number 2028008442. don-told(?) us to do so hot-go-test(?) on to your identity."
Got a call 02/19/14 Very obvious an Indian (I am an indian too) guy putting on a foolish accent and identifying as Brandon Taylor. Just ignore this, I had another call the other day saying tax litigation etc.. This latter guys called for 2 days in a row and stopped.
This would be the third call on the same topic, that is, I owed someone some money and it needed to be taken care of ASAP. Looks like this group of Indians has gone into a hyperactive mode. I could not resist using some choice words before hanging up. Ignore them.
I have received 3 phone calls from this number 202-800-8443, no messages are left.
I have received 4 phones calls from 202-800-8442, 2 times they left a message. Strong accents, (can never make out who the message is actually; they don't say "my" name), anyway, they say something about their being federal agents and have a lawsuit. The first time they said they the u.s. marshalls and were coming to my house to arrest me! I never pick up the phone.
I received the exact message earlier today. U.S Marshal, urgent, called back @ 202 800 8443, will send officers down to arrest if no response.
Caller was a female, sounded like she was talking while holding her tongue at the important parts such as the house owner's name and the matter of the call (beginning of her sentenced was terribly slurred). This has happened way to often for me to not realize immediately that its a fake caller. Just wanted to report this number for those who have had this experience for the first time and are worried.
