Voicemail to call IRS. Said we were being sued, but no reason. Sounded like robo-call message. Not calling back...definite scam, especially from a 202/DC number.
Called with heavy Indian accent. Said I owed the IRS and that there was an arrest warrant. When asked about the warrant, they asked how much I wanted to pay now to 'make it go away'. I laughed briefly and then the 'supervisor' began using expletives and calling me names asking why I thought it was a scam...even though I never once used that word.
They called saying they are the IRS.. they had mine and my daughters information, phone number and even our address... said his name was Mark Kelly bunch of scammers.
I had this exact same issue today! The supervisor was screaming at me and said " what's more important making this go away or your freedom?" At that point I hung up, called the local police and they said there was no warrant and it's a scam. They also recommended having my provider block the number.
