We are receiving phone calls from some outfit name "Reliant" every single day. If I see an unknown number with an unknown area code I rarely answer the phone. When my machine asks to leave a message, they  ALWAYS hang up leaving us with nothing but a meaningless dial tone. If they actually wanted to ask or say anything that might be of help to us, they obviously choose NOT TO!!!!!!!! I've tried on numerous occasions to call the exact number back for any explanation and ALWAYS!! get an answering machine thanking me for my call, letting me know how long (i.e.) one minute it will be til someone LIVING picks up. I wait and wait, generally longer than the stated time period (listening to awful music) then the music stops and VOILA I get a dial tone. I consider this harassment and intend to alert the appropriate authorities and attempt to PRESS CHARGES!! For the love of God, if it is at all possible to stop this constant annoyance, PLEASE DO SO!  My wife and I are both well into our senior years (and sickly) and cannot stand or tolerate this any longer!!  Thanking you, in advance, for your assistance, I will remain truly indebted!
