Had the same call couldn't hear the caller to much background noise phones ring and dialing across our conversation. They wanted to give me grant money to spend how I wish. Yeah right like that happens to a regular working stiff.
I was first left an "urgent" voicemail to call the irs, when I returned the call I was attached basically saying I owed $8,000.that I must pay immediately or my wages, drivers licence, banking, and my freedom would all be compromised if I did not pay that day. After I told them there is no way I could pay he switched me to his "supervisor" who had the exact same india accent. I never answered again.After finding this site there are four other 202 numbers on my phone that have been reported. I guess I have duck on my forehead. The nerve of these people.
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.
