This caller stated they were calling from the IRS and a criminal case has been started against me. They stated they MUST hear from me or my attorney, or they can not be held responsible for what can happen. I am no criminal, and there is no case!

The IRS will NEVER call you. They do ALL of their business in writing. Any call you receive from someone claiming to be from the IRS is a scam. Even if you are audited, they DO NOT call you on the phone, and they DO NOT send emails.
got the same message, to report go to www.tigta.gov ; IRS hotline (1-800-366-4484) is busy & has a full voicemail inbox - this is happening ot alot of ppl, don't give out your information & spread word!
