Received a call today 8-19-16. said they (did not say who they were) received an arrest warrant in our name (they didn't say what our name was) and to call or have our retainer attorney to call immediately or they would issue the arrest warrant tonight. Also said they had an ID number on case.
Indian IRS phone scam. Arrest warrant being sought in my name due to tax issues. Folks--PLEASE ignore these scumbags and don't play along with them. The IRS does not contact you personally via phone regarding litigation, warrants, or tax issues---only by US mail. Two days ago I received a prior call by the same electronic voice on my machine telling me I had unpaid taxes. First call had a 213 exchange (Los Angeles) and now this call has a 202 (Washington, DC) exchange. If you call any of these numbers back, your call will be routed internationally via VOIP to a call center in India where these scammers operate. Again, please simply IGNORE these calls. Good God, the length criminals will go to scam a person. Wow.
