Got a call for this phone number from the suppose to be federal grant department of gov. Saying I was chosen for a grant of 8300$ and to call another number 2025257889 and give them a ID# at there banking department an they will give me money.i asked how do I know it's not a scam she insisted on her banking banking department could inform me it wasn't a scam.i called the department an I asked how do I know this isn't a scam an the guy said simply hang up an never call back then he hung up.
I received 3 calls from this number. The first two hung up. The last one was a male with a thick Indian accent stating that I had been randomly chosen to receive $8300 in grant funds. They had my full name, email address and physical address. I needed to call 202-525-7889 to process the transaction. A male with a Indian accent answered. He was insisting that I provide bank account numbers, credit card or debit card numbers to pay the tax on the grant money. I ask that they send me a check, which he refused. When I informed him that federal grants were tax free, always delivered in check form, and I believed this to be a fraud ring, he began to yell that there were fees that I must pay to the government and something about me never calling him again.
