they call to say that my wife have three pending case against her, demanded that we call them back.. you should call local police then after you have your case number you should call your phone company and report their unlawful call center
I got five calls like this at my home for me to respond urgently from IRS and who knows what else. Now my voice box is full so today I got a call at my WORK but asking for my husband! A Daniel Smith from Washington DC Crime and Investigation Dept with his badge number DF8811 called. I informed him that I will confirm this with my local police dept. making sure that this is not a fraud and will be happy to give the message to my husband to call at 202-864-1148.
Beware of these type of calls.
This guy called my Do Not Call number. Asked about my wife's name. When I questioned, he claimed to be calling from Crime and Investigation Department of Washington DC
I realized from his ascent he is from India. When I counter question few times for the reason of call he became abusive.
I get same calls ,and numbers are 1-800-829-1040 (Actually this is real IRS number but this scam people have created this number by hacking irs number) , 202-241-0262 , 321-352--6893 , 202-864-1148 and 202-629-9364 saying that they are from Criminal Investigation Department.They use same pattern .This totally SPAM, so please do not pay atgtention and just IGNORE them, because they call people since long time and police, fbi or IRS can not catch them and can not stop them.Probably they call from call out side of our country by misusing their call centers.I wonder why our government agencies can not catch them? I believe all our government agencies should work together and stop this SCAM and they must be punished.
I am from India and I got a call from the same number.
I wanted to call back and see what's their game plan. But they are evasive, disconnected several times but I insisted.
One person said he is Craig Miller and another person said Nick, but both said I have some pending criminal charges, and when I asked about details they said they will send to local police department.
I can say for sure, this is not Indian accent. It's Chinese.
I just got call from them... one was from india and he was speaking language Gujarati. When I said, i am calling 911 and giving them your number he started absuing me in Gujarati (one of the indian language).when I called back to them then I got chines person voice...I am not sure, what they are going to achieve after this kind of calls...
