On November 5 at 9:58AM, this message came from "IRS" but voicemail reported caller name as "unknown."
Immediately Googled "2028641213" and found THIS site!
Found an article online by the Better Business Bureau warning people about and IRS Phone Scam. They threaten you with jail is you don't pay them whatever they ask. Anyway, this phone number was in one of the May 2014 responses. So BEWARE! They are calling my home also.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
Recieved a voicemail todsay from 202-864-1213 claiming to be a final call notice from the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me and to call back that number to find out more about the case. it sounded like a female robot- automated type message. I saw on the BBB website that its a phone scam.
