I received several (sometimes 3 or more per day) calls from this number. I finally decided to call this number back from an untraceable telephone number. There were NO messages on any of the calls I received. When I called back, a human being (if you want to call them that ;-) ) answered the phone and said "IC Systems, this is Debbie, and then the call was terminated. The best available research indicates that IC Systems is a debt collection agency that has violated and continues to violate (numerous times) almost all provisions of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). It seems that if "cease and desist" letters are sent, they are of no effect (new telephone numbers and addresses are concocted). I know a lot of people say that these call are from a political lobby based in Washington DC. I just thought you mike like to know. of my experience(s). Also, since Christian values are mentioned, if one examines the Scriptures (New Testament) carefully, they will see that the ONLY time Jesus was even mildly violent was when he overturned the tables of the money changers, sellers, etc., that were doing business in the temple market, ripping off people (does that sound like collection agencies? I would think so). I hope this helps
I am the call centre manager for Campaign Research out of Toronto. This calling has nothing to do with us. I am receiving calls from people who are irate about the calls they are receiving, but want to set the record straight that it is NOT our call centre. Our call centre is currently on hiatus for the holidays. Please do not continue to post misinformation about the origin of this calling.
