Another phony IRS call, ignore, they even will leave a message on your answering machine! At least they have someone without an accent recording their garbage message. I hope there is not too many stupid people that believe their attempt at thievery. Done anyone believe that the IRS would call from 202 area code?
Caller left a robo message claiming to be the IRS with a lawsuit being filed against me but the caller id said "Out of Area" which usually means telemarketer/scammer. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all were blocked for a person or business name and the only information was a general location of Washington D.C. using a service provider of Peerless Network of the District of Columbia-DC. This is definitely a scammer that is either spoofing numbers or using a voip system while phishing for personal information and running some scam ( i.e. IRS, Department of Treasury etc. ). A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location from the public by blocking a trace. DON'T ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use and possibly farming out numbers too.
