They left me a message. An automated voice said they were calling from the Office of the Internet Crime Complaint Center, and that a complaint had been filed this morning with my name and social security number. Apparently, I have a legal obligation to contact them by the end of the day or they are going to serve me with court papers. They gave me a case number and everything, with the names of 2 lawyers, and said that the message would be entered into evidence as prior notification. Even so, still pretty sure it isn't legit. I guess I'll find out!
I got the same message - verbatim. If you google "internet crime commission" a very official appearing website comes up. There is no "contact us" page so I just think its a scam with an elaborate website
