This caller identified themselves as calling from the Federal Branch. I asked Federal Branch of what and they said Federal Branch of Washington DC. Yeah right...this has to be one of those calls that was going to ask me for personal information. I told her I thought this was a scam call and immediately she hung up which means it was a scam call.
This is so annoying they call the everyday about 3 times. When I answer nothing is said when I call back nothing is said. I've blocked multiple numbers from Washington and they keep calling from different numbers very annoying. And I'm on the no call list
A foreign sounding person called and said I was chosen to receive a government education grant of $7,000 and when I asked how they made up some bizarre story and then suddenly hung up on me when I asked asked them how I get this grant.

Yes it is a grant scam call where they promise you a grant for payment of fees, taxes, etc. There is no money of course unless you count the money going form your pocket to theirs.
