I just got a call from this number telling me I was going to get $9000 in grant money from the US Gov. and I would not have to pay it back or pay taxes on it? I told the women that I was expecting a man to talk with me because my caller ID said Dante Hunter. I told this sounded like a scam and was not interested. She asked why it was a scam and my reply was that I have never heard of the gov not wanting taxes. Thanks her from her time and hung up. Googled Dante Hunter and was not impressed with what I found. Confirmed it was a scam.

Just got a call from 202-986-2207 female with very heavy accent says she is with the government and I have been on of 1800 people selected to receive a grant from the government to use however i want...To pay taxes, pay bills or whatever. I played along, and asked how they got my name...she said that it was because I pay my taxes, I don't have a criminal background...blah blah blah. She asked to verify my information so she could send me the money. I did not verify. I explained that I knew this was a scam...then she offered to give me a phone number to call her supervisor, but before she could give me that number she wanted my info...very persistent...I again told her that I believed this to be a scam..so she said she couldn't give me the number of her supervisor, and she hung up. I just wonder how many poor people get scammed by these thieves!
I received a call from this number today, and the man I spoke with said he was from the government, and I was selected to receive $5000.00. When I inquired about cash or how I would receive this money, he started asking me about my personal banking information. When I replied that this call is being monitored and traced during this conversation, the caller replied there was no need to trace the call because it was from the government. REALLY!!!!!
I got a call from this and was told I would receive a $9000 grant that was tax free because I had not filed for bankruptcy, been arrested or had a DUI. I hung up on him because there had to be a catch.
Man asked for me by name and then said I was not who I said I was and hung up. The crazy thing was that he called me at work. Glad to know it's a scam, I'll get him next time.
