now they are calling from 337 220 9635 claiming to be Discover and they can lower rate on any card.
I hope the owner/operator of this website could update the site to have posts in chronological order and alllow consumers to add a recording.
Got the call here a few minutes ago as well. I have also been tracking this call spammer as well for a while and found they typically use services from companies like Magic Jack to do their telemarketing calls. Once the recording gets done you will be redirected to another line which has the actual person. Note: any confrontation with the person usually results in them being abusive and they will tell you to "go f*ck yourself".
The calls I am receiving are on my cell phone, which is also against the law. Both of my numbers are on the federal DNC list and with every call I file a complaint with donotcall.gov. The company is spoofing numbers which makes this difficult to track.
The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!
The calls are pretty fun to answer, actually, because I always say (truthfully), well, I don't have a credit card. Please put me on your do not call list. Before I even get past the first sentence, they hang up because they know I'm on to them. ;)
