I received multiple phone calls today from this number. When I finally answered they tried to tell me that my computer contained items that would put it at risk for contracting a virus. I stated over and over that there was nothing wrong with my computer and he continued to raise his voice at me calling me "MA'AM". I eventually hung up. Hope I don't hear back from this number again, and hope no one becomes a victim.
Several calls from this number in the past few days. Called ID says 'IBM'. I finally picked up today but didn't say anything - after 10 seconds or so they disconnected the call without saying anything.
I received a call from our Indian friends at IBM again. I answered the phone with my best voice possible "Hello Homeland Security How may I direct your call" needless to say they hung up and have not called back. I do that a lot, I just hope Homeland Security never calls me.
This is a scam. The person, I think with an Indian accent, hung up as I was talking. I started yelling after relentless calling daily, me not answering or no one on the other end. They said that Microsoft was reporting a problem with a computer..blah blah . So why did they call on my home phone? I was mad and said I knew it was a scam and that I taught computer and was reporting them to the FCC. Also the caller ID was from a CT area code and sent from IBM. I had also told him to take me off the caller list so at which point he hung up , I don't know exactly when. It seems there is no way of stopping these people. I am sure, had the call gone further, they would have stolen my credit card and money to fix a virus or something . If they call again, perhaps I should go along with it and get more info.
