Sounded like a Robot call. I said Hello and they asked for me using my first name.
When I didn't respond they started saying they were from the police association .
I hung up. Scam
Caller ID said "Unknown name" but I was expecting a local call, so I picked up. Some guy with a southern accent - asked to speak to my hubby by name. told him he wasn't available. He said well, maybe you can help me. I said It depends on who you are. He then launched into a spiel about some police benevolent association. When he took a breath I started saying to him we don't do telephone solicitations, thank you very much and he talked over me and hung up. I tend to think that it is a scam - he certainly didn't behave professionally. And I wouldn't call it a non-profit /fundraiser /charity.
