This sounds like a burgeoning new scam in which they threaten jail and so forth if you don't make immediate payment. First, the IRS always contacts by mail and rarely calls, and when they do, they never make threats.
The recording referenced my student loan (which I do not have) and how they could help me. Called the number back and got a recording, not referencing the company name, but simply saying if I wanted to be on the do not call list for calls generated from the number, to press 1, which I did. Scam? Probably.
Got a call from this number that I sent to Voice mail. Said something about getting a lower rate on my credit card (didnt specify which one), and to act now or this offer would expire. Press 1 to talk to someone, press 2 to cancel.
