I got a call from this number and it IS Priceline. Someone did use my credit card number and charged $303 to my card. I didn't think it was valid until I checked my credit card on-line and saw the transaction. I think the Priceline transaction was a test and they thought it went through and then used my number the next morning to try to charge $1500 on-line to another merchant. Luckily I had already alerted my credit card company and they refused the charges. Do not ignore!
Got a call from this number 203 441 8454. Didn't give any info as it did seem fishy. I called priceline at 877 477 5807 to verify the call. It was verified by notes in their system that I hung up on the fraud prevention department. Yes the call center is in India or maybe the filipines but it was a legit caller. Verified priceline fraud prevention.
Very heavy accent. I couldn't even understand when he said Priceline. Did some Google research, which led me here and some other places. I was seeing conflicting information Decided to check my credit card online. Sure enough, there's a pending charge there, from today. I had never even looked at the Priceline website prior to this. Went to the Priceline website, and into their customer support chat. Got an 877 number from there. 877-477-8013 Called that number, and got possibly the same person. Very heavy accent, and very noisy call center in the background. He did not ask for any phishing information. Maybe the last four digits of the credit card. He asked if I knew someone named Kimberly Williams, which I don't.
I asked him about 203-441-8454 and he verified that number as theirs.
You don't know me, but you don't have to trust me. Go check your credit card website, or call them up with the number on the back of the card. See if you have a charge from Priceline pending that you didn't make.
Call from person speaking very fast with Indian accent from 203-441-8454 telling me they needed to verify my credit card info on a Priceline reservation that I made. I called Priceline and they said that they had no record of this phone number being there number and said I should call their Fraud Prevention Team. When I called the number I spoke to a man with a heavy accent who refused to tell me why they needed to confirm my credit card info or if my card had been compromised. He asked me for my credit card number and when I refused to give that info to him he hung up on me. I did give him the Priceline reservation number but I guess that was not enough. So now I do not know if my credit card was compromised or not and when I called Priceline NO customer service back they refused to cancel this reservation or give me further info other then telling me to call their Fraud Prevention Team that just hung up on me. I alerted my credit card company of this issue and I will NEVER book with Priceline again. They cannot be trusted and their customer service is totally useless.
