Request for donations to the PBA. Max is right, these guys keep most of the funds for "overhead" and pay out only a tiny percentage to an actual charity. In this day and age, I think it's foolish to give a caller any personal financial information whatsoever.
Since this was from my home neighborhood, I answered it. It took a good 45 seconds before someone actually picked up the phone on the other end, and by that time I knew it was a robocall or something similar. Previous post says it's police (PBA), which makes sense because we have donated to Blue Shield's before.
Oddly, My Android's caller ID just sent a "potential fraud" note regarding this #, I cannot confirm, but thought that I'd post in case they're correct.
Same inept slob keeps calling, even though have not answered line in nearly two years except recognized callers. It's one of those 5% to the police 95% to the the slob scams.
