An automated system dialed me stating that the message was Halsted Financial Services and with a message intended for "my name" and referenced "file number". It continued to state that I needed to submit my statement to them before their client took further actions. I pressed 0 to speak to someone as indicated in the recording. A male answered the line only to say "Halstead Financial". I stated my name and inquired what the call was about and was hung up on.
Based on their site, they are a debt collector "of sorts" based out of IL.

I followed up by calling them directly. They ended up stating that they were trying to contact me regarding a HSBC account. I stopped him and asked for a physical address so that I could send a verification letter, while hesitant, he did finally provide it to me.
Mailed off the verification letter to them and will report back with their response. If any.
