203-654-3990 called tonight, left no message. I plugged this number into my call blocker so they won't bother me again. Publius (see above commenter) these guys tend to use the same spoofed number for a while and eventually they will move onto a new number. Blocking this number will at least spare me another 20 or 30 calls from these jerks (yeah, I've gotten that many calls from the same fake number). When they move to a new number, I'll block that one too. Blocking one number cuts down maybe 20-30 nuisance calls, so you can see the exponential effect of blocking several numbers. My call blocker can handle 1,000 numbers or even entire area codes or certain types of calls like VOIP, Private, Out of Area, Invalid numbers (i.e., 3 digit numbers), etc. I'm only blocking 45 numbers currently so every time a new idiot calls, I block them. My call blocker keeps track of the calls that they attempt (but don't come through), and about 2/3 of scammers give up after getting blocked once because their autodialers read the disconnect as a nonworking number. The other 1/3 of scammers who keep trying (unsuccessfully!) are just morons. When these guys aren't blocked, they just keep calling and calling. The call blocker has been incredibly helpful and after just 2 months the number of "bad" calls has been dramatically reduced (by maybe 90%, and each new caller only gets through once before I block them). And many of these scammers dial from several different fake numbers, so blocking one number seems to cut down on calls from other numbers as well. If and when I reach my 1,000 block limit, I'll release some of the stored numbers that never called back again. The scammers aren't bothering me anymore, and with the election cycle heating up, the politicians won't be bothering me either!

Too sad that we, are the ones, that have to buy other electronics,
because the "Do not call" list, does not really work.
