These very rude, non-English speaking [***] gave me a call yesterday. This was not the first time I've received a call from Officer James Johns at the Law Investigation Department (lol), but I told them if they wanted me to believe anything they said they could provide written documentation of a warrant or of a "law suit" like that said had been issued to my social security number. I asked them to tell me my social security number, and they said "you have to give it to me!" haha They are extremely annoying, but nothing to worry about.
This number has called me here and there for the past year claiming their from a "Law Investigation Dept." and there's something flagged on my SSN. I've never answered the call so now he's called someone I know with the same crap. This same man, who has a thick accent which shows he is clearly of Indian decent, leaves messages saying his name is "Officer Ronny Cooper", "Officer Andrew Taylor" and of all names "OFFICER SAMUAL JACKSON!!!!" o_O. This is clearly a scam of some sorts; It could be Identity theft, financial info gathering or one of those 'you answer and they use your number to make international calls'. I'm not sure how they got the info but 'nough's enough. My solution; taking legal action.
They are scammers. I fell for this about a year ago and paid them $500.00. I feel like a real fool now. They called back again and tried to get more money out of me and I called them scammers. They hung up and have not called back.
