Got the same message word for word as Dave listed above.  I figured it was a scam but called back with them on speaker phone.  The guy answered and his name was now "David Wilson".  He called me by name, then asked for my attorney's information because the IRS is going to "download a lawsuit against me".  I had to ask him to repeat himself 4 times until he said "lawyer's information" because his accent was so heavy. (Indian or Pakistani).  My husband was listening in the background and said something and the guy asked "who is behind you?"  I answered "a police officer" and he hung up!  Maybe I'll call back and ask why the IRS is working at 5:30 on a Friday.....

I got a voice message on Friday 25 Mar 2016 at 11:00 am from this number and they actually left a partial voice message. Most of these types, like this one, started leaving their message as soon as my answering machine picked up so not all of their message was recorded. This is in part to the fact that I have the CSI theme version of the Who's "Who Are You?" song as my answering message. I really do want to know "Who" they are in case I really want to call people back.

The only part of the message that was recorded was the guy giving the phone number 205-202-0136 a couple of times and saying IRS. Caller ID showed the number 205-202-0136 and "Burmingham, AL" OK the IRS has offices outside of DC but I would think it they ever did call anyone they would want to use their main DC office 202 area code and the caller ID would say either "IRS" or "Internal Revenue Service".

Informed people KNOW the IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU. They will send official notices by mail, or if they are sending an arrest warrant you would receive a hand-delivered summons. From what I know and have heard though they really want to work things out with you so they will send things by mail and will make several attempts to contact you that way.

There really needs to be a "Scam Call" option on the call type because even though most of these calls are from an unknown source they are a scam not a legit dept collector.

Caller pretended to be from IRS with a heavy Indian accent. Like IRS actually makes house calls at 6 pm EST! His name :James Anderson absolutely not matching the accent. Definitely fraud. Toild him i ma going to have my tax lawyer call him and he says "we don't talk to lawyers'...VERY STUPID to think that i may fall for it.
