This number showed up on my credit card charge as STIMULATE 205-2163478 CA. I thought it looked like a phone number so I looked here for it and saw magnus's comment about it being about a credit card scam and he is absolutely right. I contacted someone through Craigslist and to contact them, I had to "Verify" my age, and that I had no criminal record...was supposed to be free if you cancelled within 24hrs. I signed up, went back a couple hours later to cancel so I wouldn't get charged. When I went to log in with the username and password it sent me, it said it didn't recognize the password or username...tried several times but no luck...hit the "forgot" your password button to have it sent to me but then it said it no such email in it's database!!! Then, they not only charged my card but sent it to 4 other sites who signed me up to the same dating site and each charged me too!! Sucky scam that I'm still trying to get cleared up.
magnus, is this number to help scam victims or is to the scammers? I'm trying to stop this "STIMULATE 205-2163478 CA" from continuing to charge my credit card.
