I have received many calls from this numbers at various times a day. Since the FCC and FTC complaint system does not care about us I have changed tactics.
I have filed over 20 complaints and I have received replies on all of them. The replies are all in the form of a chain letter and they all say exactly the same thing. "We are sorry but during our investigation we have found no violations, you may contact your state attorney general or file a civil complaint... BS"
I have all of them in a folder and when I reach 50 letters I am going to send them for a Congressional Inquiry so that they may be able to find out why the FTC and FCC are just sitting on their hands collecting taxpayers money.
Instead of getting mad I am now getting even and the results are wonderful.
Annoying telemarketer calls have been cut in half. I get fewer live callers.
This is what I do and it's simple.
I answer " Joes Free Clinic, proudly serving your local community, would you like to make an appointment"?
If they hesitate or try to talk I say " I am very busy so if you do jot wish to discuss your medical issue or make an appointment there are others waiting on the phone, please hang up and call back once you are willing to make an appointment to seek medical attention, thank you"
They always hang up and I have not had one repeat offender!
