This solicitor calls several times a week. On Sundays, all hours day and night during the week, somtimes at 9:00 pm at night. They ask for my daughter which gave a donation a couple of years ago. I am on the do not call list and have told them not to call again. But they continue. I think as many people they upset and bother, maybe a class action law suit should be considered. The company is Public Safety Inc. on Oxmoor Road in Homewood.
I received a call today 09/09/22, approx 6:30 PM, I answered and nothing. I checked my caller ID and got the number (205-259-1364) an called it back twice. Each time I got a phone company recording saying that number was not in service. I am thinking it is someone calling thru Internet lines from a computer and has listed that number as their computer ID, which is not correct. Should not be people from Fire or Police Association calling and hanging up!
This number is "Public Sagety Inc." They are NOT "non profit".
It is not the police or sheriff calling. It is a company that makes calls to solicit funds for the police and firefighters. They call for donations and they take a certain percentage of the donations for themselves. They are NOT sponsored by the police of firefighters. They collect donations.....take what they want...then give what's left to the polce or firemen...and that keeps them legal.

There is a place on their web site to write a review. I suggest that we all write a review. Maybe it will get their attention and expose them for who they are!
