Probably a generic, nationally-used, ad they use to connect with local carpet cleaners. At the end of the recording, it asked me to press "8" to be connected to the office. I just hung up.

I received the same call yesterday on my answer machine as the April 9, 2008 call above. Very sympathetically says he has a small carpet cleaning business, been trying to reach me, but I wasn't home, recently expanded his carpet cleaning business, blah, blah, blah. The caller ID said A Plus Cleaning...not...American Plumb... and 205 is the area code for Birmingham, Alabama. Just plain stupid to be calling someone in the Midwest about his carpet cleaning service in Alabama. His fishing expedition didn't work! I don't press any buttons!
Noticed this number on my caller ID - reads A Plus Cleaning. Interesting they're fishing for business just after Hurricane Gustav. As if I would call an out of state or out of my area company to come help if I had flooding in my house. What a piece of work!
