If you screwed up and gave them your credit card number, call your credit card company and cancel your cards as they are getting ready to get hammered with fraudulent charges.
Great answer ! These spoof caller apps allow these crooks to use any number they chose. You are so right. If you fall for their trap call your credit card number immediately.
I bet dollars to donuts that someone is capturing cell phone numbers from a website and dialing to phish. Wonder if we're all on the same/similar sites. I say this because these calls come when I'm actually using my phone. Rarely if ever when I'm not. Creepy.
