I quickly answered & hung up so they couldn't leave a voicemail. Luckily I have an iPhone and can easily block calls ;) They won't be calling me again.
This is 100% a SCAM call, They spoof numbers so unfortunately reporting it to any authority may be a moot point. I have received this "Account Services" call several times claiming they can lower my interest rate. I press through to talk with someone (Because I don't have a Credit Card) so I want to see what kind of nonsense this is. I asked the guy once who he represented, stating that "Account Services" is very ambiguous. He replied he was with "Chase Bank of America" .... Um those are two companies and he hung up.
Still getting calls from this "Members Services". This time it was a male with an Indian accent. I went along with it for a while. He said he worked with all the banks to lower my interest rates and he would talk fast and say "Visa-Master" or "Discover-Express" to try and confuse you. I asked him what information he needed from me. "Card #, Expiration and PIN code". I called him out and said that banks would not call us and ask us to give that information over the phone. I told him I know that he's not from a legit company because no customer service representative would treat their customer in that way and could easily remove my number off their call list. I asked him if he was accredited with the Better Business Bureau which he couldn't answer. Then I told him I've been sending in complaints to the US Government every time they call. He was completely unprofessional yelling at me to listen to him. Once I got angry enough to start yelling back at him to just take me off their call list. He started asking me personal questions. "Are you at home? Why are you so angry, are you married? Be my friend." I asked him how he got my number and he blamed it on my online shopping. I asked him how to get off their call list and he told me to cancel my phone number. He also said the reason I get spammed is because of Barack Obama. Finally, I pissed him off enough to hang up.
TL;DR It's not worth talking to these people. Report them once you hear that robo message or don't even pick up.They are AWFUL AWFUL PEOPLE.
I have no business or personal ties with Alabama... this number calls me once in awhile and never leaves a message. I never pick up because I see comments stating this is a scam.
