Gentleman called and said he was customer service for the copier and he needed some numbers from it. When I started to ask questions about the company he worked for he hung up. Don't know what he was planning on doing with those numbers.
It is a scam, they will bill the serial number for 500 dollars worth of Toner and only send about 50 dollars worth, or if they can get through the firewall they can get copies of all of the things that have been printed on that copier
Received a call from a young man claiming to be customer service for our copier. Asked him which machine he was referring to. He said, and I quote, "How about, to make this easier, you just give me the numbers off of the copier closer to you?" and I asked him again, to specify which copier, and he did not, so I asked him to specify which company he was with, and he would not, just repeated "customer service for your copier". When I told him that customer service for our copiers would know what copiers we own/operate, he hung up. Rude little guy. Not sure what scam could be run with that info, but still.
