It is a scam. People call you asking to babysit their child and they will send you the money in advance. When the check arrives it bounces. They will eventually ask you for other information about yourself such as checking and account number.

I was asked to babysit via text and it said it was sent from care.com by a woman named Patricia Greathouse, which there are about 50 of them by the way; and well, I believed it. I gave them all sorts of information amd before I knew it, I had givin criminals my information, knowledge, and power.
They also get you to talk to them through email. They told me through text they would give me $350 a week in advance before january 19, 2014. They also told me later in the email that their child is in a wheelchair and they are ordering an electric wheelchair to my house and were going to give me an additional $1,575.00. I then set up a Bank of America account and they asked for all my bank information, including my username and password.
