got a call from my brother that some strange man came to my mother's house with a contract wanting to buy the house and over market value. As I am handling her estate (for the record I am not selling the home that my brother and aunt live in) I looked them up and found nothing on them meaning empty space. The name of the company is Orange Development INC and their number is 205-408-3443. I think this scammer searched public records and found out that my mother died and thought he could scam us as we are still grieving her loss. Lucky for that person that I was not there to personally call him on his scam and introduced him to Dallas' finest.
Here is a brief BBB on them.. Is the house in Alabama? Looks like the might buy propoerty to build subdivision or corpoate buildings. I think you are correct that they found a deceased owner and try to snag the property during time of grief.
You bet they did. I had to tell my brother that we are not selling the house and if anyone comes there again that we did not put this house on the market so leave or the police will be called.
