Called my spouses cell phone claiming we are delinquent in filing or something like that. Its not even after 4/15 yet! What a scam and waste of our time.
They left a Robo-message claiming to be the Internal Revenue Service filing a lawsuit.
This is why it is a scam... Follow me close here...
1. The Internal Revenue Service does not call and contact people.
2. The IRS will contact you by US MAIL, Nothing else, they don't send telegrams or any other third-party services.
3. We really don't need a third point here, but I will put something... So the number is not registered with a government agency. So refer back to point 2.
So don't call them back... just block the clowns that are trying to rip you off.
I called back for fun. Spoke to a very nice Indian gentleman who warned me about the IRS lawsuit. After 7 minutes I got bored and hung up. I expected to be asked a social or credit card but they didn't. I actually feel bad for these people making the calls. Their script was not very good. I can't imagine they're going to catch anybody with their scam except a true idiot.
Just received a call from this number I just read in the news they busted one of the head guys in a multi an international operation Ripping Americans off
