Just got an old scam from a new spoofed (fake) number, (205) 422-8547, showing from Birmingham, AL. This was the old 'Sarah' from credit card....blah, blah, blah (similar to another 'Rachel' from credit card....). In case anyone does not already know, the 'no-call' list issue is useless; these are CRIMINALS trolling numbers randomly trying to commit fraud. You basically can't stop them once they find your number. They find an active number by random dialing using a hijacked fake number, and then you are in their system. These rings apparently pass or sell these numbers to each other. Just block the number and go from there. So tired of these predators. What I don't understand is why they call the same numbers (like mine) over and over again with varied fraud schemes thinking that something will work. This is an incredible nuisance; I started recording these numbers and in the past year have received probably 300+ calls from 50-100 different fake numbers. I'd change my phone number if I could, but I really can't do that.
Spydialer results for this number reveals no "available" voicemail and possible owner: "TINEKE near BIRMINGHAM, AL". Possible spoofed call based on other reports of this number through a google search. Will report this number to FCC.
