The voice told me I had no problem with my credit card account and could lower my interest rate. That's nice, but then they told me I would have to press one. Bye Bye!
Called my cell. Caller ID showed "Bessemer, Alabama". I don't know anyone from the south at all, and have done no business with anyone from that area. I declined the call, and then blocked the number.
Received a call on my mobile phone from 205-425-3535 on 1/9/2017 at 1:04pm EDT. Caller ID displayed "Bessemer AL". Did not answer and no message was left.
Based on comments posted here and elsewhere it appears that this is yet another number being used by the "Card Services" scam. The frequency of calls I have received from numbers associated with this type of scam has been increasing recently, particularly on my mobile phone.
I have added this number to my Google Voice block list. If the caller attempts to call again they will receive the not-in-service recording.
