I received a phone call from this number. They where trying to lower my credit card cost. I do not have credit cards.
He started cursing at me, talking nasty, talking about my mother and just being disgusting.
These people need to be stopped.
The man said that they do not have to abide by the do not call list.
All, this is a scam to get your CC info or other information.
Whatever you do, do NOT answer your phone.
Andoid users I would suggest getting "Mr. Number" or a similar app that will block numbers where many users noted it was a scam/spam. Still trying to find one for Apple iOS, but now that we can block numbers through the phone, I will just have to deal with the number calling once, doing a Google search and finding it on sites like this.
FCC and FTC know about this and are still trying to find a solution to this. All we can do is ignore these calls and just submit a complain on either the FTC or FCC sites.
I agree with all of the calls attempted. Don't answer. The suggestion to use Mr. Number failed. It says free then wants credit card number to complete transaction. I will look elsewhere for a way to block them.
For Android phones, use Phone Warrior. It's free and does a great job of stopping unwanted calls. It also maintains a database with other Phone Warrior users to track these unwanted scam/spam calls and can help block calls that haven't called you yet that are scammers/spammers.
I use an app for Android phones called "Call Control" that will block unwanted calls. It uses a database to check against called numbers and if there is number that is not in the database, you have the option of adding it to the list to prevent future calls from that number.
