The person who called identified herself as Grace Miller. She said that they wanted to enhance our marketing effectiveness through Yellow Pages advertising. I told her that we aren't interested, and she said "You don't understand. Your company already has this listing, and we want to verify your information so that your advertising is more effective." I refused to confirm any information with her and asked her not to call again. Six hours later, she called again. I told her that she had been asked not to call this number, and she replied, "I'm sorry, but this is the first time I have spoken with you." I told her that I had personally spoken to her this morning and asked her not to call back. Then, she hung up.
A lady with an Indian accent called from this number at 9:43PM. She said she was from Direct Buy. I informed her that it was against U.S. Laws to bother clients after 9PM. Again, she said she was from Direct Buy. Again, I reminded her it was after 9PM and why was she calling me? She again said. "I'm from Direct Buy". I was getting irritatged by now, and asked if she were calling me from Mumbai, India. She said no, she was calling from Direct Buy. I lost it and came down so hard on her the walls were shaking. She calmly informed me that my number would be taken off the list. "What list? I shouted". She calmly hung up. Man, I'm smoking hot. Of course, when you call the number back, there is no one there. I get a message saying, "I'm sorry that is not a valid extension. Try again". Agggggghhhhhh!!! Someone, somewhere, will get theirs, someday, that is.
