Scam using USPS get a Post Card in the mail with no return address and no company name on it. It reads:
Sorry we missed you. Our records indicated that we have been trying to reach you to arrange a delivery of an important package for your home. Please call us at your convenience and we will deliver promptly to your home. Please call during business hour of Monday - Friday between 10:00am and 8:00pm Please Call 205-509-0640 they also provide a short reference #.
Called that number and asked what their business name was - a rude black lady said she was just a dispatch person and they ship packages for various companies.
I am sure there is some type of Fraud here and hope they understand Mail fraud, a felony, carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000 when individuals are involved and up to 30 years in prison.
I am and was not expecting a package or shipment. And when you do get a shipment they have your Phone # to schedule the delivery.
If anyone knows what the extent of their scam is, would love to know.
