This guy is a scammer. Wanted to buy something on craigslist for $1000 and sent me $2500 for shipping. Then wanted me to send a check with the "movers" for $1500. Yeah, right.
This person showed interest in my vehicle that I had posted on craigslist, then asked if a certified check was OK, and then asked for my name and address to "process payment" without even asking questions about the vehicle. When we googled the number we realized that this person lives over 1,000 miles away and found other scam reports. We looked up certified checks, which are different from cashier's checks, and they are relatively easy to fake.
Wants to purchase some items I have on craigslist and will send extra to cover the shipping that would be handled by his movers. The only name I have is James and he contacted me by text message. I was close to getting scammed on another transaction and now this low life is trying it too. Beware if contacted by this number.
got a text about a craigslist item for I had for sell. In the first place I said no texts. He said the same thing as with the rest of you. Don't do it!!!! Wish I could get my hands on him/her. Also got a similar text from California 559.759.6079. When I texted back for him to call me he sent a message later "deaf". Aha.
