If it is a police fund looking for donations, they only get about 30% of what is taken in by the professional callers.
That is the way my FOP lodge received the pitch some years ago. If you want to donate to a police fund, do it directly without the telemarketers getting their 70% slice of every dollar.
A robocall from some solicitor for money. A search shows this number to be from Birmingham, Alabama. A land line using Intermedia Communications Inc - AL with a spam score of 97%. When you call the number back, you hear a partial recording saying at that extension, good bye.....I SMELL SCAM......
