An obvious scam call, message had my mother freaked out a bit, the message left was a computer voice stating "she" was an officer Sarah Williams etc. etc.
A prerecorded message was left 12:18pm;
This is officer Sara Williams calling you from legal investigation department of the Internal Revenue Service. The nature behind my voice mail is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice regarding a tax evasion, a tax fraud against your name. So before your case is registered into the federal claim court house and before we issue the arrest warrant under your name, call us back at 205-564-6348 repeat 205-564-6348.
All I can say is................. Come get me coppers' you'll never take me alive!!!
we received same message 2 days ago , hahahah, yeah right! all scam, When I tried to dial that # (to see what will happen) the number is always busy. This is third call, we are getting in the past few month, as far I know, we do not owe anything, and pay our tax and bills way before due date.
The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.
