Just got a call from this number soliciting for the "State Troopers Association. Told him I was FOP "Fraternal Order of Police" retired. Said OK we don't wanna overwhelm you could you do the minimum contribution? I asked "who does it GO to after he said "help these officers".
I said "I'm somewhat familiar with these "associations"....he couldn't stop his wind up speech fast enough when I said that as I continued "Well exactly who does the $$$ go to"?. THEN....he hung up! Beware of any "Police Charity ASSOCIATION" These are often scams and by not claiming to be police.....they avoid any possible

Even if the call was legitimately from a fund raiser, the association normally get 1/3 of the raised revenue. The rest would go into the telemarketer pockets.
