Receiving multiple calls, multiple times a week. All answered, all hang-ups. All the calls I see coming from this number can be tracked back through Bell South (the new AT&T). According to telephony information it is a ported number, which means it no longer has to be associated with a cellular company. With the amount of calls I see hitting our network (I work for a phone company) it looks as though this person or persons has this number on their predictive dialer and use it to make many calls a day with it. However, with the creepiness of some of the actual answered calls, it sounds like this could be a number out of a jail of some sort... Either way, call your local telephone company, lodge a complaint, and make sure you are on the Do Not Call listing.
Someone keeps calling my house from this number 205-572-4099 day & night and even weekends, but when we answer they hang up. From now on, we recommend everyone only answer calls from numbers that display on your Caller ID that you know. For calls you don't recognize, let them go to voice mail---if the caller is legitimate and really wants to speak to you, they will leave a message for you to return the call. To anyone who doesn't leave a voice mail message---too bad, so sad, we guess you don't have any business calling this number! People should also be on-guard about getting such calls, as it can be would-be-thieves, burglars, who are driving around with cell phones and if they are at your house and don't get an answer when they call, they may assume that you are not home and try to break into your house. Always be careful. Report repeated nuisance calls to your telephone company and the police! Be Smart & Be Safe!!!
This is really a pest number. Yes, they call and ring and ring and when you answer, they hang up. It is cell phone coming from some place in downtown B'ham. If you go to whitepages.com it will tell you it is a cell phone and will show you the map of a genral area where the number is assigned. It is a verizon number.
