This is a collection agency that AT&T uses to collect debt.
From what I have seen in other complaints against AT&T, they consistently say one thing and do the opposite and/or lie to their customers. For instance, AT&T never connected their service to my home, I don't have their equipment, and I have never used their service. Yet, they are trying to collect a debt from me for one year of service.
If there are many others with this type of complaint or charges in collection, perhaps we could "collectively" sue AT&T for poor business practices and lack of ethics. And any collection company as guilty through association to falsely collect illegal monies.
Caller ID listed as "Birmingham, AL". Woman identified herself as "Carmen", began leaving a message stating she was from "LMI Legal", then abruptly stopped, pressed a key, and began again this time stating she was with "AFS Legal Services". Alternative number left to discuss a matter with a person who is not at the number they called - 954-746-8996 xt 778.
Got to the Dave Ramsey Radio show website and they can direct you to a link for dealing with collection agencies. We went, and now have an attorney who deals with these types at NO CHARGE.
