I got sick of them calling several times a week (as many as 10), so I finally answered it one day. It was from Portfolio Recovery, calling to collect a bank credit card debt that I had incurred several months back that was written off to them. They asked if they could have my bank account numbers so that when I'm ready to make a payment I could just call and they would be ready to take the money from that account. No No No! I told them that wasn't information that I was willing to give to anyone, and when I was ready and able to make a payment, I would just mail it to them. She asked me "When will be a better time for us to call you back regarding this matter?" I said "There will never be a better day for you to call again. Please add me to your "do not call" list. She said "Okay, you have a nice day, then." They just called (12/29/14) exactly one month after that last call. Apparently my request for them to not call me anymore had an expiration date on it. I didn't answer this time, nor will I again. They use several different numbers - all available by searching them on the internet.
