Who called from 2056836310

who is this number?

I received a text message on my cell phone that says: Thanks! You're now registered to receive alerts. Please save this number in your phonebook.  12056836310
I replied asking "Who is this?" because I have not registered for alerts from anyone or anywhere via my cell phone.
Now that I think about it I probably should not have replied.  I'm going to investigate this number further.

The scam is still going on, delete with out reply.

If you signed up for alerts with you financial institution, this is likely the number from which you will receive your alerts.

I'm not sure,  but i believe this is regions bank. I changed some notices for my account and received the same text. I am surprised because  they normally identify themselves. But the area code is in Alabama, and that's where their corporate headquarters is located.
