Craigslist scam 2003 Jeep. Several listings in all areas of New York Craigslist. When you inquire the Jeep is never in the location indicated on Craigslist. Story is that the owner is in Utah with the jeep and needs to sell being deployed. She was to be deployed several months ago. If you send $2500.00 to her and your personal info she will ship it through Amazon or Ebay. This jeep if it was real lists at $15000.00. It's listed today10/15/16. Her Army unit that she said she was a member of never heard of her. They have received several inquires about her. OBY the unit is not being deployed. Reporting it to Craigslist was a waste. Reported 3 times and it's still there.
This number was connected to a vehicle being sold on Craig's list. Text only. I texted asked a question. The response was that he was listing the vehicle for his mother and gave me her email. Her response was that she needed to sell vehicle because she was in the Army and was getting ready to go over seas. The transaction would be through Amazon to make shipping easier. I told her I was local so no shipping required and all I needed was directions, time and day to come see the vehicle. A few minutes later the ad was flagged to be removed from Craig's list.
The same thing happen to me. This time it was for 2003 Red jeep. I contacted the unit the mom claims she was with and they told me there was NO such person in that unit. They also told me they have been using their unit for years and they all have been a scam.
